Ridge Cap Repair in North Freedom, WI

Ridge Cap Repair in North Freedom, WI

The ridge cap takes more wind than any other part of a shingle roof. It sits at the peak, it is bent over the top, and it is held by two exposed nails per piece that are covered only by the next cap. When caps crack along the fold or blow off, the nails and the ridge vent beneath are open to rain.

North Freedom, WI Shingle Roof Repair connects homeowners in North Freedom, WI with shingle roof repair crews who handle ridge cap repair. The crew will:

• Remove cracked or loose cap shingles
• Check the ridge vent or the deck gap underneath for damage
• Install new caps with longer nails that reach through the vent and into the deck
• Seal the last cap's exposed nails with roofing cement

Cheap ridge caps cut from three-tab shingles crack faster at the fold, especially in cold weather. Purpose-made hip and ridge shingles are pre-bent and thicker, and most crews will recommend them on asphalt shingle roofing.

If you can see gaps along the peak from the street, or caps have landed in the yard, call (844) 238-0976. North Freedom, WI Shingle Roof Repair will set you up with a crew in North Freedom, WI.
